We tried all the {highly} recommended spots in Condessa {The Red Tree House, Casa Dovela } and Roma Norte { La Valise, Ignacia Guest House }. But frustratingly, none had avail dates that fit with ours.  Don’t know which link led us to this little gem in Polanco, but the Universe intervened and the Universe is always right.  Best week’s stay at Pug Seal Allan Poe, Polanco

The Quickie Lowdown

PROS:  the architecture and the {Quetzalcoatl} interior design, one of the first art hotels of its kind, wow their homemade breakfast, the serene yet vibrant neighborhood and location, my S.O. went on & on about the cleanliness inside & out and we always looked forward to the snacks, juices & water that awaited us after a day out.  Hands down, the highlight is their exceptional staff and hospitality.

CONS:  I would’ve liked a less firm bed.  But yet another guest we met at the hotel, raved about the “super comfortable” bed.  So…

I have to say again, the highlight of our stay was the incredible staff.  Muchas muchas gracias..Andrés, Bertha, Louis, Juan, Charlie, all the chefs in the kitchen and to all the lovely ladies that maintain all the beautiful rooms and spaces.

Well, we’re hooked and lucky for us {and all Pug Seal fans} they have a membership program.  Which we almost signed up for right there and then!  I see many more trips to Mexico City so definitely worth being a member.  We love you Pug Seal!  Till next visit!
