In this post, first fall looks : the fanny pack dress!

how to wear the fanny pack dress

I’ve blogged about the love of the fanny many many moons ago {2010??} ,”The Fanny past The Festivals”, or something like that lol.  The fanny pack has also been a work staple for me, so I’m always on the lookout for the perfect styling fanny pack.  But yo, what’s this??  A built-in fanny??  Instantly got those stop-the-insanity feels so > sold!

Style over 50 : The Fanny Pack Dress!

The Why’s, How’s and Where

For real, does this not one up the cargo {cargo pant, cargo denim, cargo everything}.

  • First off, local, slo, sustainable designer {local to Mexico}
  • Unconstructed yet flattering and comfy!  The unconstructed dress style is the most comfortable of all the dress styles.
  • Check all the subtle & playful details {the asymetrical hem, the nip at the placket & the forever fashion color, khaki!}.
  • Is a stand alone, no need for any extra pieces or styling
  • Hello!  No need for a bag!

Because of its simplicity, it’s so versatile!  I’ll be layering it over tees {and some pants!} this fall and pairing back to some boots {fun flat red ones in the fall, then some tall shearling lined ones in the winter}.

I just dig pieces like this so much.  Minimal, elevated basics with subtle menswear vibes.  This fab fanny number is by the coolest Alejandra de Coss from the most beautiful and inspiring concept shop in Mexico City, AureliaI blogged about it here.  I also picked up another piece from her, a menswear inspired vest with a moon and a star cut out.  I’ll post some looks soon!

My first spin out with my Alejandra de Coss Fanny Pack dress {which was the very next day} deserved a trip to the museum.

Y’all, Alejandra de Coss is in a league of her own.  I feel the need to spotlight her!  Post coming soon!

This post is on my love of my Alejandra de Coss fanny pack dress, how I wore it and where to find it.

Enjoy!  Hope you get one for yourself :))
